Description
Traditional tie wire reels use a reverse thread mechanism to attach the faceplate. This mechanism can fail unexpectedly during normal use. RodBusters and Ironworkers know the frustration when they lose a face place and have to stop work for a new reel and roll of wire. When working at heights, a falling faceplate is more than an inconvenience — it’s a safety issue. A ½-pound plate is traveling at 43.5 feet per second at the bottom of a 30-foot drop. That’s no longer a frustration — that’s now a projectile.
The QuickDraw Reel’s unique cam-lock closing mechanism solves this problem. This action secures the face of the reel without threads and will not dislodge during normal use when used correctly
